EASTER SEALS LOUISIANA EarlySteps Program Data Specialist Reporting Relationship: Directly responsible to EarlySteps System Point of Entry Program Manager Duties: * The data specialist compiles, sorts, and verifies the accuracy of all data from Family Service Coordination agencies as meeting EarlySteps guidelines. * Maintains all Early Intervention records in accordance with applicable regulations under IDEA Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and education department general accounting rules (EDGAR). * Assures that hard copy documentation is consistent with EIDS data. * Enters information into specific files resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures. * Documents received are filed appropriately and files maintained so that each childs chart and information is retrievable when necessary. * Requests further information for documents that are deemed incomplete or inaccurate. * Checks completed work for errors or duplicate information comparing data with source documents. * Locates and corrects data entry errors, or reports them to manager. * Answers incoming calls and handles according to office policy. Perform other duties as assigned by the SPOE program manager.
