CenturyLinks Corporate Communications team is looking an Intern to join us in Monroe, Louisiana.
In this role, you will support our Lead Communications Managers with managing communications for several key areas of our technology business. This person will be responsible for driving both executive and employee communications for a company of
40,000 people globally. This role is perfect for a highly energetic, creative, and ambitious person who thrives in a collaborative, fast paced environment, and wants to make a large impact.

Primary job responsibilities
:
Proactively build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across a range of levels and business functions.
:
Develop key communications staples, including communication plans, core messaging, talking points and intranet articles; create content such as blogs, emails, etc. in the leaders voices.
:
Demonstrate excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate complicated issues into a clear point of view, and create a compelling, concise and well:written narrative.
:
Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
:
The ability to pay attention to detail and deliver against aggressive timelines.
:
Willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done, even in situations where the work is outside the scope of your respective role.
:
Candidates should be prepared to show samples of writing and be prepared to take a writing test.
Required skills
:
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or graduate degree, preferably in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or English, but all who have an active interest in communications will be considered
:
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
:
Self directed individual with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
:
Highly motivated with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
:
Previous internships in communications, media, social engagement, and public relations are
a
plus
Requirements
:

Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher

Must be currently enrolled at a 4:year accredited College or University

Must be classified as a junior, senior or graduate student at time of internship

Must work 30:40 hours per week during the 10 week summer session
